Large Dog Walking Gear: Step-by-Step Guide for Goldens. Below is the gear list we'd actually buy, plus a quick routine so the gear gets used every day. Every product here supports harnesses & walking practice with short, reward-based sessions and one clear command.
How to use it
- Fit the gear: Two fingers under every strap; leash clipped to the front ring.
- Reward position: Treat at your seam whenever the leash hangs in a J.
- Stop, don't pull: Leash goes tight? Pause until it loosens, then move on.
- Add your command: Name the position ("heel" or "with me") as they arrive.
- Go new places: Short sessions on new streets; drop back if they struggle.
